What are Lean Sheets?

Lean Sheets streamline the most important and frequently tested material for every bar exam subject into 2 – 3 page condensed outlines. Based on extensive research of past bar exams from multiple jurisdictions, these uniquely concise and manageable bar exam outlines contain only what you need to know to pass your exam.

They also provide useful mnemonics for memorization, and even include additional charts and diagrams to help visualize key concepts. Most importantly, Lean Sheets allow you to spend more time on essay writing and practice exams, and less time reviewing the black-letter law.

How Do Lean Sheets Work?

Outlines are available from Lean Sheets for exams all over the country. The price point is only $39.95 and once purchased, the outlines are immediately available for downloading. This means you can get started studying right away and don’t need to wait for books or materials to arrive by mail.

Who Would Benefit From Lean Sheets?

I think many different studiers could benefit from Lean Sheets as a study tool.

  • If you are running out of time and need a condensed list of the need to know law to memorize, these sheets can be a great starting place.
  • If you are having trouble, or don’t want to spend a lot of time, creating your own attack outlines, these sheets can help you, especially in the final weeks of memorization.
  • If you are anxious or overwhelmed because of the size and volume of your bar materials, these sheets can be printed out and simplify your life down to a single binder!

Student Testimonials

“I think they’re great!  I’m a first time repeater taking the New Jersey bar exam, and I am now working full-time as a law clerk.  I’ve been struggling with how/what to study, given the fact that busy schedule doesn’t allow for much study time….Given my situation, the Lean Sheets have been incredibly helpful for me. I’m impressed with how thorough the outlines are, yet still brief enough for me to quickly skim through and get what I need.” –  Amanda W., Western New England School of Law

“As someone with a learning disability and a two-time repeater of the California bar exam, I struggle focusing and retaining material.  On some subjects, I’ve spent hours reviewing only to feel more confused than when I started. So these outlines have been amazing for me. Everything is direct and to the point, which is great for someone who tends to lose focus after several minutes. I treat the outlines like flash cards in a way. Since they are so condensed, I read a section and then quiz myself. I think it’s a pretty good strategy.” – Stephanie H., Pasadena, Ca
