Who is Sean Silverman?

What is Silverman Bar Preparation?
Silverman Bar Preparation provides affordable personalized tutoring for those preparing for the bar exam. All students receive a free hour to try out the tutoring. Sessions take place over the phone or via Skype.
What is Sean’s opinion as to why students struggle with the MBE?
Sean believes that to excel on the MBE, you must practice applying what you’ve learned from the outlines to practice questions. The MBE is both knowledge-based and and skill-based. He advises students to practice questions in any given subject immediately after learning the rules that will be used to answer the questions in that subject. In other words, work on both components (gaining knowledge and practicing your skills at applying that knowledge) for one subject, before moving on to the next.
When does Sean think a tutor can help a student with the MBE?
Sean values the benefits that personalized tutoring provides a student. He is of the opinion that personalized tutoring is an excellent choice for students who are independent enough to study without taking a formal bar review course, but still want someone to turn to when inevitable questions come up throughout the process. Sean believes that personalized instruction from a competent, caring instructor is an ideal setting not only for the bar exam, but for learning in general.
What are “The Essentials?”
The Essentials are a resource Sean designed as a supplement to the outlines that students use when preparing for the bar exam. Sean created these resources that narrow down the content to what he deems essential in any given subject based on the issues that show up most frequently in practice questions. In addition, he created the outlines in a manner that is conducive to learning the law; namely, it is written in a question-and-answer format to provide for a more conversational presentation than is provided in traditional outlines. The following Essentials are available to purchase on Sean’s website: Evidence (54 questions/answers), Criminal Procedure (47 questions/answers), and Evidence & Criminal Procedure (101 questions/answers).
