What is Themis Bar Review?

Themis Bar Review is a bar review course that you can take entirely online. Instead of sitting in a large lecture hall or convention center with other students listening to lectures, you listen to lectures and do all of your studying autonomously online. It’s also offered at a lower price point than many other commercial courses (course offerings are around $1,595 for a full bar review course).

Themis offers courses for 24 jurisdictions: Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. There is also a separate MBE review.

What Makes Themis Different From Other Bar Review Companies?

Themis offers two ways to approach a study schedule. You can choose “Directed Study” or “Flex Study.” Directed Study is more structured and suggests you complete lessons and practice in a sequential order. Flex Study allows you to pick and choose what you would like to study on a given day.

This is important because many students feel that their bar review provider doesn’t give them any flexibility with their study schedule. If they are sick, or tired, or just having a bad day, they can’t choose to change their study schedule. Themis offers students the flexibility to jump between different types of schedules while still tracking their progress. This is also a great option for students who are working since they can even extend their bar review prep period to allow them a longer study period.

What Other Benefits Does Themis Offer?

Themis provides assessment questions so you can check your understanding and retention of information from a lecture. The results will identify specific chapters where you may need additional review. They also offer an iPhone or iPad app that is part of your tuition. In addition, you receive personalized feedback when you use Themis. This feedback comes from your attorney advisor who gives you tips throughout the entire process. And your attorney advisor stays with you throughout your prep so you are getting consistent advice from one resource.

Who is a Good Match for Themis?

Themis is a great option for students who are self-regulated learners and those that do not need the structure of attending an in-person class or lecture to learn. It’s also great for students who may be working full-time while studying for the bar exam.

What Students Say About Themis

“Themis had amazing online lectures, precise and condensed outlines, flexible study plans and it’s half the cost of other Bar review programs.” – Jennifer P.

“Thank you Themis for helping me kill the Pennsylvania bar exam. Somehow, you deliver a superior product priced hundreds below your competition. I think the most helpful aspects of your course is the flexibility to switch between guided and self-guided modes, and my essay grader was prompt and insightful. In short, I highly recommend the course for the Pennsylvania bar.” – Brandon R.
